The Dholera Special Investment Region is being built as India's first greenfield smart city, with core infrastructure laid before plots are occupied rather than retrofitted afterwards.

Built-in from day one

Utilities, roads and data run through common ducts, and the ABCD (Activation, Building and Central Dashboard) command centre is live at the heart of the region to monitor and manage city services.

Planned, not patched

Because the region is planned from a blank slate, water, power, drainage and connectivity are designed together — a contrast to cities that grow first and add services later.
